West Chester is a borough in Chester County, PA. It is also the county seat for Chester County. The 2010 census designated the population at 18,461. The town is home to West Chester University as well as much of the Chester County government. West Chester used to be called Turk’s Head, after an inn that is located in what is now the center of the borough. West Chester has a rich history and its historic district is very large. Some of the more popular attractions in West Chester are the Chester County Historical Society, the American Helicopter Museum, the West Chester Railroad, Brandywine Picnic Park, and QVC studio tours. A lot of people find Downtown West Chester very fun. Downtown features a selection of dining and retail options along with historical buildings mentioned before.
